Outside students: how to join the group?

If you want to become a Ph.D. student in my group, you should apply through the EECS Ph.D. admissions process: EECS graduate admissions. I very much look forward to hearing from you __after__ you have been admitted. Best of luck with your applications!

Berkeley undergraduate students, how to get involved?

Please email me your resume, your (unofficial) transcript, and 2 paragraphs on why you want to get involved. Of particular interest are EECS UGs with advanced coding skills, prior exposure to AI, optimization or control (or a subset), if possible upper div classes in these fields, and prior work experience either as intern in a company or in another research lab. Your chances will be higher if you have a GPA above 3.8, have taken hard classes (and succeeded), if you are willing to work around 15 hours per week on research. We like strong maths!
